At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge imposed a prison sentence on two men who would be involved in homicides, which occurred in different events in Cúcuta and Lourdes (Norte de Santander).

A sectional prosecutor from the so-called Unidad de Vida charged the defendants with aggravated homicide and manufacture, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition. They did not plead guilty to the charges.

In one of the cases, Luis Otilio Botello Colmenares was prosecuted. He is allegedly responsible for the murder with a firearm of a man. The facts took place on November 3rd, 2022 in the rural area Volcanes de Lourdes (Norte de Santander), due to alleged personal issues.

The man was arrested on July 14, during a house search carried out on a property in this municipality.

On the other hand, Henry Alexander Hernández Suárez was arrested by investigators from the Technical Investigation Corps (CTI) and National Police, for his alleged responsibility in the homicide of a man, which occurred on June 26 in the so-called Latino neighborhood of Cúcuta (Norte of Santander).
