The victims are four members of the National Police and two marines who were attacked with firearms.
Due to the evidence obtained by the Attorney General’s Office, Cristian Camilo Valenzuela Zapata, alias Pollo; and Samir Leonardo Ramírez Torres, alias El Negro, pleaded guilty, through a preliminary agreement, to the murder of six members of the public force in Meta and Caquetá, between September 2021 and January 2022
A specialized judge in Florencia (Caquetá) approved the agreement and sentenced the two members of the Jorge Briceño structure of FARC dissidents, to 34 years and 7 months in prison for aggravated homicide, attempted homicide; manufacturing, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition; and aggravated criminal conspiracy.
The first case took place on September 16, 2021, in San Vicente del Caguán (Caquetá). National Police patrolmen Víctor Alfonso Rojas Vargas and Kevin Esteban Guevara Barrios were attacked with firearms while carrying out their duties.
Subsequently, on December 9, 2021, ‘Pollo’ and ‘Negro’ shot a group of National Navy, in the rural area of Cartagena del Chairá (Caquetá). The marines John Flores Jaramillo and Jheison Alberto Núñez Moreno died while another officer was seriously injured.
Finally, on January 11, 2022, the defendants caused the death of the National Police patrolmen José Edinson Rivera Garrido and Hermes Alberto Mora Guevara in Lejanías (Meta).
