The alleged suspect was deprived of his liberty for another homicide in Cartago.
The Attorney General’s Office carried out the prosecution of Jiorghan Steven Fernández Zapata, alias Yoryi, allegedly responsible for the murder of a man and the attempted murder of another one, due to facts that took place in Cartago (Valle del Cauca).
The facts took place on February 5th in the El Edén neighborhood where men driving a motorcycle shot two people who were spending time in a sidewalk. One of the victims died and another was injured.
The investigations allowed a prosecutor from the Sectional Office in Valle del Cauca to identify alias Yoryi, as one of those who participated in the crime.
The Prosecutor’s Office charged him with homicide, attempted homicide and manufacturing, trafficking, and possession of firearms (all of them aggravated). The judge decided that the alleged suspect should continue in prison due to these new charges.
