Due to the conclusive evidence, the Attorney General’s Office achieved a prison sentence against Carlos Eduardo Valencia Salazar, for his alleged responsibility in the crimes of aggravated homicide and manufacturing, trafficking or possession of  a firearm.

The facts took place on June 13, in Loma del Bolivariano sector in San Andrés Island, where the defendant, apparently, shot at a man identified as Jefferson Gordon Johnson, causing his death.

According to the investigation, the attack was directed towards a person who accompanied Gordon Johnson, who apparently had problem with the inhabitants of El Cliff neighborhood.

On July 29, by means of a court order, Valencia Salazar was arrested by National Police in the so-called Simpson neighborhood.

The Office of the Attorney General makes this information public for reasons of general interest.
