Julián David Zapata, Juan Otálvaro, Hedenilson Cárdenas, and Bryan Flórez, alleged members of the now dismantled Esmeralda criminal organization, involved in the sale of drugs in small quantities in Pereira, were brought before a judge.
According to the investigation, the defendants were selling marijuana and cocaine in public spaces in Ciudad Boquía and Málaga in the neighborhood Parque Industrial in the main city of Risaralda since July.
The arrests were in charge of Sijín- National Police.
The Prosecutor’s Office charged the defendants with aggravated trafficking, manufacture, or possession of narcotics. The defendants did not plead guilty to the charges.
By the decision of the judge, those implicated were deprived of their liberty.
