A prosecutor appointed to the Special Directorate against Criminal Organizations brought Adolfo Hernández Núñez, an alleged member of the ELN front José David Suárez, before a judge and charged him with conspiracy to commit a crime aimed at extorting and committing rebellion.

According to the investigations, this person would be responsible for collecting the money derived from extortions against ranchers, merchants, contractors and transporters in various municipalities in Casanare. Likewise, it is under investigation his presumed authorship in sending messages to the inhabitants of the region in which financial demands were made in exchange for not threatening victims’ lives or business.

Hernández Núñez or ‘Don Adolfo’ did not plead guilty to the charges. Due to the conclusive evidence against him, the judge imposed a detention measure in prison.

The defendant was arrested in a procedure carried out by CTI judicial police of the Office of the Attorney General in the area of Vijagual de Recetor (Casanare).
