One of the people arrested would be the main coordinator of an organization responsible for sending cocaine to North America. Another one, allegedly received resources that was sent from Mexico to a drug trafficking network. 

The Office of the Attorney General, through the Special Directorate against Drug Trafficking, in a joint work with Dijin-National Police and DEA, arrested Guillermo Salazar Cruz, alias Tío and Héctor Alfonso Martín Gordon, alias Repollito. 

These people were located in different operations. They were part of different organizations that would be involved in trafficking drugs to Central and North America. 

A Court for the Eastern District of New York searched alias Tío for being the head of a criminal structure and the main coordinator of the shipment and storage of the cocaine hydrochloride shipments departing from Nariño, Cauca and Valle del Cauca. In addition, the authorities of the United States accuse him of visiting Panama, Costa Rica and Guatemala where he allegedly closed illegal deals and received the drugs that were transported in speedboats. 

This person was arrested in Medellín (Antioquia) by virtue of an arrest warrant with a view to extradition issued on September 8, 2018. 

For his part, Héctor Alfonso Martín Gordon, alias Repollito, would be in charge of managing the resources obtained from the shipment of drugs from the Atlantic Coast and Cundinamarca to the United States. He allegedly claimed money transfers in Colombia that were made by drug traffickers in Mexico. 

During the investigation, 12 alleged members of the same structure were arrested. Alias ​​Repollito is wanted by a Court for the Central District of California. He was arrested in Bogotá in compliance with an arrest warrant issued on September 17, 2019. 

Both Colombian citizens were placed under the authority of the office of the Attorney General while the diplomatic and legal procedures for their extradition are carried out.
