Regarding the prosecution of the criminal structures responsible for attacks against people in the process of reincorporation, the Office of the Attorney General has achieved four important judicial actions to advance in the clarification of these facts.

The Office of the Attorney General brought León Darío Úsuga Manco, alias El Negro before a supervisory judge in Antioquia. The defendant is an alleged member of the Edwin Román Valle substructure of the so-called ‘Clan del Golfo, who would have participated in the murder of Manuel Antonio González Vuelvas (a person in process of reincorporation) which took place on December 13, 2019, in Ituango (Antioquia).

This person was charged with aggravated murder, aggravated criminal conspiracy and manufacture, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition.

José Daniel Vélez Valencia, alias El Flaco, had recently been prosecuted for this crime.

The other legal action was achieved in Chocó. Thanks to the evidence presented by the Office of the Attorney General, a judge in Quibdó sentenced Orlando Manuel Hernández Cardozo, a member of the Pablo José Montalvo Cuitiva structure of the ‘Clan del Golfo’, to 72 months in prison and a fine of 400 legal monthly minimum wages.
