An indictment was filed by the Office of the Attorney General against nine other people who would be part of this illegal structure that obtained resources from public entities and municipalities.
The Office of the Attorney General is moving forward on different lines of investigation to prosecute all people linked to a voluntary agreement which included officials, contractors and private individuals who irregularly executed contracts whose object was to assist populations affected by the armed conflict.
The evidence revealed that Residual Organized Armed Groups provided the corruption network with resources in exchange for a percentage of the money received from state entities and municipalities, many of them from Nariño, in order to cover plans about post-conflict.
One of the alleged perpetrators of this criminal financing activity was identified as Washington Castillo Cundumí, alias Chayanne. This person, an alleged member of the so-called ‘Guerrillas Unidas del Pacífico’ was arrested by judicial police members of the office of the Attorney General in proceedings carried out in El Charco (Nariño).
