The evidence presented by a specialized prosecutor in Cartagena allowed a judge to sentence Francisco José Alzamora Roldán to 9 years and 3 months in prison since he was found responsible for manufacturing, trafficking or possessing narcotics.

The judicial decision is related to facts that occurred on June 22, 2015, in the industrial zone of the main city of Bolívar, where the defendant worked as a bus driver to transport employees of a private company.

During an inspection, the National Police found a black bag containing 11 packages, each weighing 1 kilo, of cocaine.

In the same decision, the judge imposed a fine of 1,167 current legal minimum wages. In addition, he was disbarred from the practice of public functions for a period equal to that of the sentence.

Alzamora Roldán was arrested by CTI members and the National Police on December 11th in Chiquinquirá neighborhood of Cartagena.
