On April 29th and based on information provided by a person, members of the Technical Investigative Corps ( Cuerpo Técnico de Investigación (CTI)) of the Office of the Attorney General based in Anserma (Caldas) and troops of Batallion San Mateo de Pereira (Risaralda) found a cache with explosives in a rural area of Súmera Baja, municipality of Quinchía ( Risaralda).
The material, which was made up of 81 kilos of ANFO explosive and 59 cartridges (5.56-caliber) apparently belongs to the ELN Support Network (Red de Apoyo al Terrorismo (RAT)) of the Manuel Hernández Front “El Boche”.
It was determined that the organized armed group uses this sector as a strategic corridor to the Department of Chocó.
The material is under the custody of the judicial police unit of Anserma (Caldas).
