Investigations carried out by the Office of the Attorney General allowed to conduct the arrest of Alex Ferney Salazar Latorre, alias Jonatan, alleged ELN leader of the Guillermo Ariza front.
Salazar Latorre had been charged in absence by a prosecutor from the Special Investigation Unit (Unidad Especial de Investigación (UEI) in Spanish) with murder of a protected person and rebellion. At the same hearing, a detention measure with imprisonment was issued.
The facts took place on February 6, 2018, in Montecristo (Bolívar) and they are related to the murder of Kevin Andrés Lugo Jaramillo, a demobilized Farc combatant.
In this sense, alias Jonatan was placed under the competent authority to be transferred to the established detention center.
