- The Office of the Attorney General duly complied with decision adopted by the Section of Revision (Sección de Revisión) of the Special Jurisdiction for Peace (JEP) on May 15, 2019 regarding the immediate release of Seuxis Paucias Hernández Solarte (Jesús Santrich), as a consequence of the guarantee of non-extradition granted to him.
- Based on this ruling, it has been decided that the national judicial authorities investigate the drug trafficking activity by which the authorities of the United States have requested the extradition of Mr. Hernández Solarte.
- As a result of the international cooperation, new evidence has been added in the last hours shedding light on the circumstances of time, manner and place of the alleged commission of criminal conspiracy aimed at drug trafficking by Hernandez Solarte. Within this new evidence, Marlon Marín Marín’s statement was obtained by Colombian prosecutors of the Specialized Directorate in the fight against drug trafficking.
- Therefore, an arrest warrant against Hernández Solarte was requested yesterday to a judge (control de garantias) in Bogotá. It has been already ordered by the judicial authority and executed.
