The investigation was conducted with the support of three women who escaped from this criminal organization

Three ring leaders of an international human trafficking network engaged in sexual exploitation of women in China were sentenced to prison after they pled guilty to the charges brought by the Office of the Attorney General. However, a fourth person, did not plead guilty to the charges and was sentenced with home detention.

This is an investigation which was conducted by the Office specialized in the Fight against Criminal Organizations (Dirección Especializada contra la Organizaciones Criminales) supported by Dijin of National Police and allowed to establish that this organization recruited women through deceit. This organization persuaded women from Antioquia, the coffee growing area ‘Eje Cafetero’ and Valle del Cauca promising them excellent profits in China working as housekeepers, in restaurants, in hotels, babysitters among others.
