The Office of the Attorney General, through the branch office in Sucre (Seccional Sucre), prosecuted Fabián Molina Donneys and Erial Patricia Trejos Ospina for their alleged responsibility in the crime of aggravated extortion. They did not plead guilty.
According to the investigation, the defendants allegedly withdrew severals sums of money, allegedly linked to extortions carried out from different parts of the country.
The defendants allegedly impersonated members of criminal organizations operating in Sucre. It is believed that they used phone numbers of a call center in Cali (Valle) to commit offenses. The victims were allegedly extorted in Sincelejo.
Both people were arrested by Gaula – National Police on February 21 in Cali.
A judge imposed a prison sentence.
