The aggressor wounded the victim several times since she did not want to continue the relationship.

The evidence collected by the Office of the Attorney General led the 55-year-old man to accept, through a plea agreement, his responsibility in the crime of his sentimental partner, that occurred in a rural area of Yopal (Casanare) in September 2025.

A judge approved the agreement and sentenced him to 31 years and 3 months in prison for aggravated femicide.

The Office of the Attorney General proved that the aggressor went to the farm where his sentimental partner was working and attacked her with a sharp object. This man entered through a window of the residence and injured the victim, causing several wounds that led to her death.

Additionally, the judge imposed a secondary sentence such as being disbarred from the practice of law and public functions for a period of 20 years, and the suspension of all types of alternative sentences.

This ruling is of first instance, and legal remedies may be filed against it.
