As a result of the attack, the man died, while the woman was treated at a medical center where she was saved.

At the request of the Office of the Attorney General, a judge imposed a prison sentence against Luis Fernando Quesada Beltrán and Óscar Leonardo Rozo Mesa, for being the alleged perpetrators of the attack against a couple in Venadillo (Tolima). 

A prosecutor appointed to the branch office in Tolima (Seccional Tolima) charged them with  homicide, attempted homicide, and manufacture, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts, or ammunition—all aggravated offenses. The defendants did not plead guilty to the charges. 

According to the investigation, on May 14 in Lorenzo Ureña neighborhood in Venadillo, the victims were riding a motorcycle when they were intercepted by the defendants who allegedly shot at them multiple times. The man died as a result of the attack, while the woman was taken to a medical center where she was saved. 

The National Police conducted the arrest warrant against Quesada Beltrán in Mariquita (Tolima). Meanwhile, Rozo Mesa was notified while being in Líbano prison where he is already being held for another process.
