In four independent cases, the Office of the Attorney General prosecuted six alleged individuals implicated in the illicit trade of marijuana and cocaine in Guacarí, Yotoco, and Guadalajara de Buga (Valle del Cauca). 

These are separate cases in which prosecutors belonging to the branch office in Valle del Cauca (Seccional Valle del Cauca) charged the defendants, according to their individual responsibilities, with trafficking, manufacturing, or possession of narcotics, and illegal possession of firearms. 

Juan Manuel Llano Rendón and Jhon Stic Mazuera Acevedo were prosecuted in Buga after being caught in flagrante on November 13 during a search warrant at a residence in La Honda neighborhood. Authorities allegedly found 170 grams of cocaine base and 4 kilograms of marijuana in one of the rooms, as well as ammunition and two firearms. 

In Yotoco, Roger Alejandro Sepúlveda Buriticá was prosecuted for allegedly transporting 92.5 grams of cocaine hydrochloride and 2,350 grams of marijuana in a public service vehicle. His arrest took place on November 15 on the road from Buga to Buenaventura (Valle del Cauca). 

Meanwhile, in Ginebra, José Santiago Rendón Saldarriaga, Andrey Felipe Vásquez Saldarriaga, and Luis Miguel Estrada Namundia were prosecuted for drug trafficking. 

The people allegedly involved must serve prison sentence and house arrest according to the judges’ decision. None pleaded guilty to the charges brought by the Prosecutor’s Office.
