At the request of the Office of the Attorney General, a judge ordered a prison sentence for Willian René Castro Mendoza, who was allegedly transporting ammunition by boat at the dock in La Tagua (Putumayo). 

A prosecutor belonging to the Immediate Reaction Unit (Unidad de Reacción Inmediata URI) of the  branch Office in Putumayo (Seccional Putumayo) charged him with manufacturing, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts, or ammunition. The defendant did not plead guilty to the charges. 

The events took place on October 12 during a search warrant carried out by the Police and the Navy at the dock where the man was caught in fragante while transporting 20 boxes containing 500 cartridges (caliber 16) hidden in the boat. 

The ammunition was allegedly destined for Puerto Arturo, a rural area in Caquetá.
