At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge sent Ángel Miguel Guerrero Cerra to prison for being allegedly involved in the commission of qualified robbery.

The facts took place on September 20 in the so-called Centro in Barranquilla (Atlántico). The 33-year-old defendant allegedly used a knife to intimidate a woman who was walking along the street and, after pushing her to the ground, allegedly stole her cell phone.

The victim asked for help and she was heard by a National Police patrol passing by, that arrested the suspect in flagrante. The cell phone he had allegedly stolen before was found in his possession.

At the preliminary hearings, Guerrero Cerra did not plead guilty to the charges brought by a prosecutor belonging to the Immediate Reaction Unit (Unidad de Reacción Inmediata URI) of the branch office in Atlántico (Seccional Atlántico).
