The Attorney General’s Office brought two men before justice for being allegedly resposible for the murder of a citizen in facts that took place on January 21 in Cartago (Valle del Cauca). 

The people allegedly involved are Jeison Granada Varela and Johan Alberto Romero Varela, who were charged with homicide and manufacture, trafficking, or possession of firearms, accessories, parts, or ammunition, both aggravated offenses. They must serve a prison sentence by virtue of a court order. 

The facts took place on a public road in Ciudadela neighborhood, where both individuals allegedly shot a man who was walking. 

According to the Office of the Attorney General, the alleged perpetrators were riding a motorcycle as driver and passenger, and allegedly attacked the victim unexpectedly when he was walking toward a commercial establishment, defenseless. 

On August 6, personnel from SijinNational Police of Valle del Cauca carried out the arrest warrant against both men on a public street in the Siglo XXI neighborhood in Obando (Valle del Cauca).
