At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge imposed a prison sentence on Daniel Sebastián Durán Durán for his alleged participation in the murder of a woman in Girón (Santander). 

A prosecutor appointed to the branch office in Santander (Seccional Santander) charged him with homicide, attempted homicide, and manufacturing, trafficking, or possessing firearms, accessories, parts, or ammunition; all aggravated offenses. The defendant did not plead guilty to the charges. 

The facts took place on July 29 in Balcones neighborhood in Girón, where three people traveling in a vehicle approached the victim and shot him.  

The alleged attackers fled in the car driven by Durán Durán. Authorities eventually arrested the driver in flagrante but the other two fled the scene.
