The Attorney General’s Office obtained a prison sentence against Santiago José Suárez, alias Richard, allegedly responsible for the crimes of aggravated homicide and illegal possession of firearms for aggravated personal defense.
According to the investigation that was carried out by a specialized prosecutor of the Sectional Office in Antioquia, on April 2 in Santa Elena neighborhood of the municipality of Caucasia, Bajo Cauca Antioquia, was the place where apparently, alias Richard, murdered Heriberto Torres López.
The evidence showed that the victim was attacked by two alleged members of the so-called Clan del Golfo who fled the scene on a motorcycle.
The defendant is investigated for his alleged participation in four other homicides that occurred in the aforementioned population, and which were ordered by the Clan del Golfo. The defendant was arrested on June 16 by Sijín officers of the National Police. He did not plead guilty t the charges.
