He is responsible for receiving and recruiting four minors who had been contacted through social media for the illegal armed group

Edwar Fabián Pillimué Ilamo, known in the municipalities of northeastern of Cauca as ‘Camilo’ accepted through a preliminary agreement with the Attorney General’s Office his participation in the recruitment of minors for the Dagoberto Ramos, Jaime Martínez, and Urías Rondón structures of FARC dissidents.

The man admitted that in 2020, he hosted and accommodated four children, ages 13 and 14, in a building in the Tacueyó district of Toribío (Cauca). They had been contacted through social media and persuaded to bring illegal weapons into these organizations with offers of high salaries, motorcycles, and other benefits.

He subsequently transported the minors to Corinto and Santander de Quilichao (Cauca), where he bought them clothes, shoes, and food. Finally, he took them to Pasto (Nariño) and left them with members of the FARC dissidents, who transported them to a rural area of Tumaco (Nariño). For this activity, ‘Camilo’ received 5 million pesos by that time.

A judge in Popayán (Cauca) examined the terms of the agreement, declared it legal, and sentenced Pillimué Ilamo to 6 years and 6 months in prison for illegal recruitment. Additionally, the court imposed a fine equivalent to 400 times the current legal monthly minimum wage and specified that the sentence must be served in prison.

The convicted man was arrested by National Police in February 2025, in Bosa, south area of Bogotá. He is currently in a prison in Palmira (Valle del Cauca).
