At the request of a prosecutor from the municipality of Turbaco (Bolívar), a judge imposed a prison sentence against Jairo David Fortich Cuello, 20 years old, allegedly responsible for the crimes of attempted murder and manufacture, trafficking or possession of a firearm.
The facts took place on October 31 in Calle de San Pablo neighborhood, in Turbaco, where the defendant allegedly shot a 21-year-old man repeatedly.
According to the investigation, the victim was in front of his house when he was approached by the defendant, who asked him where he could purchase narcotics. When the young man refused to answer, Fortich Cuello took out a gun and shot him five times. The man came out of the attack uninjured.
Police officers from the National Police who heard the shots arrived at the area and arrested the defendant in flagrante delicto. They seized a revolver with nine cartridges that had no license.
The defendant did not plead guilty to charges.
