The illicit profits obtained through the criminal activities committed by ‘Los Zorros’ would exceed 2000 million COP annually.
At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge ordered a prison sentence against Leonel Aldacir Rada Gil, alias Sargento, who is believed to be the second-in-command of the criminal group ‘Los Zorros II’ which operates in Bogotá and Soacha (Cundinamarca).
Rada Gil was arrested by the National Police on July 4 of this year in Villeta (Cundinamarca) and charged with criminal conspiracy and homicide (both aggravated); manufacturing, trafficking, and possession of narcotics; and manufacturing, trafficking, or possession of firearms, accessories, parts, or ammunition. He did not plead guilty to the charges.
Alias Sargento is apparently the author of five homicides in Soacha (Cundinamarca) between 2023 and 2024. He is also allegedly responsible for bringing narcotics from Medellín to sell them in different areas of Soacha and Bogotá. It is estimated that the illicit profits obtained through the illegal activities of Los Zorros exceed 2000 million COP annually.
The members of this criminal organization are allegedly involved in the sale and distribution of bazuco, cocaine, and marijuana, through fixed locations and addresses in Los Olivos, La María, and La Demencia neighborhoods of ‘Comuna 3’ León XIII, and ‘Comuna 4’ Cazucá in Soacha; and Patio Bonito, El Amparo, and Corabastos neighborhoods in Bogotá.
Another 11 alleged members of the aforementioned criminal group have been prosecuted.
