The Attorney General’s Office prosecuted a person who would be allegedly implicated in the murder of his sentimental partner on March 8 in Aracataca (Magdalena).
In this regard, a prosecutor appointed to the branch office in Magdalena (Seccional Magdalena) charged the defendant with aggravated femicide. He did not plead guilty to the charges.
According to the investigation, after an argument, the man allegedly attacked the victim, causing her death. Then he allegedly hid the woman’s corpse in a bag and abandoned it in a stream.
The corpse was found 24 hours later, thanks to a search carried out by family members, local residents, and National Police officers.
The investigation also established that the victim had experienced acts of physical, psychological, and economic violence by the defendant.
The man was arrested by the National Police by virtue of a court order. According to the judge’s decision, he must serve a prison sentence in Rodrigo de Bastidas prison in Santa Marta (Magdalena).
