Jhon Alexander Chitiva Quintero allegedly entered a parking lot and shot at the victims, who were closing an auto parts business. 

The Attorney General’s Office obtained evidence that proves the participation of Jhon Alexander Chitiva Quintero in the murder of three people and the injuries caused to another one in an armed attack perpetrated on October 2, 2024, in Santa Rosa de Cabal (Risaralda).

The victims were asked to meet in a parking lot in San Eugenio neighborhood to negotiate some auto parts and vehicles. The defendant, in the company of other armed men, allegedly entered the place and repeatedly fired a 38-caliber revolver that he had in his possession.

Two people died on the scene and another one in a medical center.

For these incidents, a prosecutor appointed to the Territorial Support Directorate (Dirección de Apoyo Territorial) charged Chitiva Quintero with aggravated homicide, attempted homicide; and manufacturing, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition. Likewise, he requested the imposition of a prison sentence.

Jhon Alexander Chitiva Quintero was arrested by the National Police in Cartago (Valle del Cauca).
