The people arrested would be part of the organized crime groups Los Chinches and Los Patrones that were dismantled with this action

At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, judges imposed prison sentences on 7 women and 12 men who would be part of the criminal organizations Los Chinches and Los Patrones who are responsible for petty drug dealing activities in Villavicencio and Granada (Meta).

‘Los Chinches’

People who were arrested in the main city of the Department are:  Jael Andrea Prieto Rodríguez, Jaider Esneider López Naranjo, Diego Alejandro Ariza Achury, Jenny Margoth García Ariza, Julio César Jiménez Piñeros, Marlon Stiven Ramírez Puentes, Juan David Hormanza Bejarano, Manuel Stiven Bautista Rojas, José Héctor Martínez and Nancy de Jesús Vargas Rico.

The defendants would be part of the drug trafficking network known as Los Chinches, that sells narcotics in Guayuriba park, south area of the main city of Meta. The suspects were arrested by the National Police in eight search warrants. 

Los Patrones

In another action, in the municipality of Granada, four women and five men were arrested for their alleged responsibility in the trade of marijuana and cocaine.

People who are involved in the case are:  Josué Guzmán Ramírez, Mónica Paola Garzón Escobar, Diego Alejandro Gaviria Cagua, Jhon Fredy León Cifuentes, Brenda Nataly Mayorga Loaiza, Yeison Rojas Lemus, Mariana Garzón Cubides, Frederman Ospina Giraldo and Karen Lorena Fernández Montoya.

These people were arrested by National Police and Army during six search warrants.

The Prosecutor’s Office charged the defendants with conspiracy to commit crimes and drug trafficking. They did not plead guilty to the charges. The judges issued prison sentences against 15 people and house arrest against 4 people.
