The Attorney General’s Office prosecuted, in isolated proceedings, two men who allegedly participated in homicides that occurred in Bolívar. Judges imposed prison sentences.

Prosecutors assigned to the branch office in Bolívar (Seccional Bolívar) charged them, according to their individual responsibilities, with homicide; manufacturing, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition; both aggravated conduct; attempted homicide and violence against a public servant. They did not plead guilty to the charges. 

This is about Jhon Jairo Martínez Llamas, alias Jhoncito, who would be involved in the murder of a person on August 26, 2024. The facts took place in a public establishment at the so-called Boston neighborhood in Cartagena, where the victim, 34 years old, was spending time with friends and family.

There, a man arrived and without saying a word, allegedly shot him, causing his death. After that, he fled on a motorcycle that was apparently driven by the defendant.

In another incident that took place on February 9, in El Prado neighborhood of Magangué (Bolívar), Janer Enrique Díaz Martínez, after having an argument with a man, allegedly shot him, causing his death.

In the attack, another person was also injured. According to the investigation, Díaz Martínez also caused injuries to an officer of the National Police when he was arresting him in flagrante delicto.
