The evidence, presented by the Attorney General’s Office, allowed a judge to impose a prison sentence against Jhonier Matoso Álvarez, alias Matoso, allegedly responsible for the crime of qualified and aggravated robbery.

The facts took place on January 1st, on a public road in La Paz neighborhood on the island of San Andrés, where the defendant, apparently, intimidated a woman with a firearm to steal the jewelry she was wearing and a cell phone, valued at more than 4 million COP.

In compliance with a court order, ‘Matoso’ was arrested in the so-called Morris Landing neighborhood by the National Police.

This person did not plead guilty to the charges brought by a prosecutor appointed to the branch office in San Andrés (Seccional San Andrés).
