The Attorney General’s Office brought four men to justice, who would be involved in arms trafficking in Cúcuta and Ocaña (Norte de Santander).

One of the investigated individuals is Ezequiel Pinzón Pérez, who was arrested in Ocaña, on January 22 by the Police and the National Army, when he was moving in a van. The alleged perpetrator was found in possession of a pistol, three magazines, ammunition and five cell phones.

The other defendant is Johan Hernán Martínez Romero, who was arrested by the National Police in Cúcuta, when, apparently, he was in possession of ammunition, two fragmentation grenades, two pistols with scope and a silencer.

Finally, in a home search carried out at Callejón García neighborhood in Cúcuta, Yenderson Omar Niño Márquez and Iván Darío Meneses Castilla were arrested in flagrante. In the operation, a revolver with five cartridges was seized from them.

The four defendants were charged with manufacturing, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition; and manufacturing, trafficking and possession of weapons, ammunition for restricted use, for the exclusive use of the armed forces or explosives.

Preventive detention measures in prison were issued for three of the arrested men. For his part, Iván Darío Meneses Castilla will remain linked to the investigation.
