The alleged attacker was deprived of his liberty in a detention facility.

The Attorney General’s Office brought before a judge a man who allegedly attacked his former partner, on December 4, on a public road in Ciudad Bolívar, in southern area of Bogotá.

The victim was allegedly injured by the alleged aggressor with a sharp weapon in several parts of her body, however, she was assisted by the community. The woman was transferred to a health center where she was treated.

In this regard, a prosecutor from the Immediate Reaction Unit (URI) charged the alleged aggressor with attempted aggravated femicide. He did not plead guilty.

During the investigative activities, it was established that the defendant apparently constantly stalked her and threatened her with death on several occasions.

At the request of the Office of the Attorney General, the judge ordered the man to be deprived of his freedom in a detention facility.
