A prison sentence was issued by a judge on eleven alleged members of a criminal group known as Pijaos del 12 for conspiracy to commit crimes and aggravated drug trafficking. It committed crimes in the so-called comunas 11 and 12 in Ibagué (Tolima). 

Members of Sijin of the Metropolitan Police of Ibagué under the coordination of the Anti-Narcotics Unit of the Sectional Office in Tolima carried out 10 house searches at different points of the main city of Tolima.

The investigation revealed that ‘Los Pijaos del 12’ were allegedly involved in local drug trafficking, affecting mainly vulnerable areas such as Santofimio and Brisas del Combeima neighborhoods.

The defendants are: Cristhian Fernando Pinzón Cuellar, Carlos Alberto Sánchez Sánchez, Miguel Ángel Noguera Yara, Cristian Camilo Roa Yela, Kevin Steven Roa Yela, Luis Alejandro Sandoval Lizarazo, Mauricio Conde Serna, Wilson Damian Álvarez Ramírez, Jonathan Harol Ramírez Álvarez, José Edwin Conde Serna and Asdrubal García González.

During the operation, 44 cartridges (38-millimeter caliber), marijuana and cash were seized, apparently linked to the illegal sale of narcotics.

None of them pleaded guilty to the charges.
