The Attorney General’s Office prosecuted Diego Fernando Zuluaga Muñoz, alias Diego, an alleged member of the criminal structure Los Guay, who would be involved in a theft of several citizens in Padilla (Cauca).
According to the investigation, on September 2, 2023, a group of eight people allegedly robbed a group of citizens. Among the investigated people would be alias Diego, was in charge of collecting the money and cell phones that the victims handed over during the theft. For these facts, the defendant did not plead guilty to qualified and aggravated theft. He did not plead guilty to the charges.
Judicial police work showed that ‘Los Guay’ committed crimes in northern area of Cauca. They committed violent thefts on tertiary roads that connect Guachené with Puerto Tejada and Villa Rica. They also stole motorcycles there to later take them to Corinto and sell the parts. Many of these would be allegedly exchanged for weapons and narcotics.
Alias Diego was arrested by CTI and Sijin of the National Police in Chamizo de Padilla area. A judge with mixed functions imposed a prison sentence.
