A prosecutor appointed to the Sectional Office in Santander brought seven alleged members of Front 12, Isaías Pardo of Segunda  Marquetalia before a judge which is part of the so-called illegal group Coordinadora Guerrillera del Pacífico, responsible for extortions of farmers, merchants, growers and other people in the municipalities of Sabana de Torres and Barrancabermeja.

They are Juan Sebastián Gil Álvarez, Deibys Manuel Jiménez Zambrano, Anner Elian Díaz Álvarez, Jorge Eliecer Garro Cristancho, Sneider Yesid Figueroa Gómez, Luis Fernando Villegas Fernández and Amed Enrique Álvarez Camelo, who were charged with conspiracy to commit a crime, extortion, both aggravated, and manufacture, trafficking or possession of firearms.

The investigation showed that the defendants, since August 2023, were using videos, phone calls, billboards, pamphlets and personal visits to intimidate the victims, demanding payment of millionaire sums of money in exchange for allowing them to work and remain in the area. These actions generated several forced displacements.

The prosecuted people were arrested by CTI officers of the Office of the Attorney General, the Police and the National Army during nine search warrants, in which firearms, cell phones and advertising referring to the criminal group were seized.

A judge imposed a prison center on Gil Álvarez, Jiménez Zambrano, Díaz Álvarez, Garro Cristancho, Figueroa Gómez. For their part, Villegas Fernández and Álvarez Camelo must serve noncustodial measures.
