At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge sent María Ysabel Rojas Gutiérrez to prison. She is allegedly responsible for a crime that took place on May 17 in Los Olivos neighborhood in Cúcuta (Norte de Santander).
The woman was charged with homicide and manufacture, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition. She did not plead guilty to the charges.
According to the investigation, Rojas Gutiérrez allegedly provided information to a third party who was in charge of carrying out the crime with a firearm. The victim died at the scene due to the severity of the injuries.
The joint work of a prosecutor from the so-called Grupo Vida, members of the Technical Investigation Corps and the National Police allowed them to identify the woman as a possible co-author of the crime under investigation.
