At the request of a prosecutor from the Anti-Narcotics Unit in Ibagué (Tolima), a judge imposed a prison sentence on seven alleged members of the organized crime group ‘Los Pitillos’. The investigation showed that the defendants, apparently, were involved  in the local petty sale of marijuana and cocaine since October 2023.

The people involved are: Fernando Leyton Guevara, Iván Felipe Aguiar, Maikol Manuel Izquierdo Duran, Iván Darío González Navarro, Jorge Luis Castañeda Saiz, Cleiner Yecid Durango Moreno, Erikson Méndez González, who were charged by the Prosecutor’s Office with conspiracy to commit a crime and aggravated drug trafficking, manufacture and possession.

The joint actions conducted by the Police in Tolima, the National Army and the Air Force allowed the arrest of the defendants in the development of seven home searches carried out in the urban area of ​​the municipality of Rovira.

Various quantities of marijuana, ready to be sold, as well as a cell phone were found in the possession of the defendants

None of the defendants pleaded guilty to the charges.
