At the request of a prosecutor appointed to the so-called Unidad de Vida of the Sectional Office in Bolívar, a judge imposed a prison sentence against Daniel Enrique Rodríguez Torres, alias Chili, allegedly responsible for the crimes of homicide and manufacture, trafficking or possession of a firearm, both aggravated.

The judicial decision is related to the incidents that occurred on August 29 in Chambacú neighborhood in Cartagena where the defendant, apparently, shot on four occasions a man who was driving a motorbike taxi. The victim, 45 years old, died at the scene.

‘Chili’, who was traveling at the rear seat of a motorcycle, was arrested by the National Police in Marbella neighborhood. The firearm that was allegedly used to commit the crime and six cartridges were found in his possession.

The suspect, 19 years old, denied his responsibility for the crimes. He will be sent to San SebastiánTernera prison in the main city of Bolívar.
