The evidence presented by the Attorney General’s Office allowed a judge to sentence the former mayor of Floridablanca Jairo Ulloa Cadena to 4 years and 9 months in prison for embezzlement.
The Office of the Attorney General showed that Ulloa Cadena did not have the endorsement of the Municipal Council, which is the authority in charge of recognizing the technical bonus in favor of local leaders, and took 74 million COP.
Upon announcing the sentence handed down on August 16 by the Seventh Criminal Circuit Court of Bucaramanga, an arrest warrant was issued against Ulloa Cadena, who turned himself into the authorities in the municipality of San Gil.
The sentence will be served at his place of residence.
