Alias ​​El Negro was charged with aggravated homicide, simple and aggravated kidnapping, forced disappearance; and manufacture, trafficking and possession of firearms or ammunition.

The Attorney General’s Office obtained evidence that shows that Jenner Gómez Márquez, alias El Negro, would be the head of the Clan del Golfo´s hitmen in Bajo Cauca and the  person allegedly responsible for several crimes that took place, especially, in El Bagre and Zaragoza (Antioquia).

In 2022, this person allegedly ordered and participated in at least seven homicides and nine kidnappings during an armed dispute he had with other illegal structures that commit crimes in the region, such as ‘Los Caparros’.

Additionally, investigations indicate that he would be involved in displacements, kidnappings and other criminal conducts against the population.

Therefore, a prosecutor from the Directorate specialized in the fight against Criminal Organizations charged alias El Negro with aggravated homicide, aggravated simple kidnapping, forced disappearance; and manufacture, trafficking and possession of firearms or ammunition.

The defendant did not plead guilty to the charges and must serve a prison sentence.
