A judge in San Andrés sentenced Mónica Patricia Chaverra Víctor to 4 years and 5 months in prison. She was arrested in possession of a weapon and ammunition for the exclusive use of the Public Force.
The decision is related to facts that occurred on March 25 in the Morris Landing neighborhood. The National Police found a revolver and six 38 caliber cartridges in the purse of the convicted woman during an inspection. There was not a permit to bear this firearm.
Due to the evidence presented by the Office of the Attorney General, Chaverra Víctor, freely and spontaneously, signed a preliminary agreement in which she pleaded guilty to manufacturing, trafficking and possessing firearms for the exclusive use of the Armed Forces.
The defendant, 40 years old, was deprived of her liberty in a prison.
