A judge in Medellín sentenced Richard Orlando Henao Pino to 24 years and 6 months in prison for the murder of a gas station employee in the southwest area of the main city of Antioquia.

The facts took place on July 7th, 2023 in the Guayabal neighborhood in Medellín, when two men on a motorcycle tried to rob the 25-year-old victim’s earnings. When the employee refused to hand over the money, one of the thieves shot him twice, causing his death.

The judge approved the preliminary agreement that was freely and spontaneously reached by the defendant and the Office of the Attorney General. In this way, the defendant pleaded guilty to homicide, illegal possession of firearms for self-defense and aggravated theft.
