At the request of a specialized prosecutor assigned to the Anti-Narcotics Unit of the Sectional Office in Tolima, a judge imposed a prison sentence against 14 alleged members of the criminal group Los del Filo, responsible for the sale of narcotics downtown Ibagué.

The investigation revealed the existence of a criminal network made up of marijuana dealers in neighborhoods such as: La Estación and Centro in Andrés López Galarza park.

These people, apparently, sold handmade cigarettes with drawings of fruits and other objects of different colors, wrapped in notebook pages. According to the investigation, the petty drug dealing network sold doses between 2,000 and 3,000 COP.

The investigations allowed 31 controlled purchases of narcotics. Subsequently, the alleged members of that illegal organization were identified.

As a result of search warrants carried out by the National Police in Ibagué, 13 people were arrested, while another one was arrested in Pasto (Nariño). The Prosecutor’s Office charged them with conspiracy and trafficking, manufacture or possession of narcotics, both aggravated. The defendants did not plead guilty to the charges.
