A judge imposed a prison sentence against Juan Sebastián Duarte Cárdenas and Johan Stiven Hernández Rojas since they stole three million COP from a couple.
The facts took place on February 22, 2023 in the so-called El Diamante II neighborhood in Bucaramanga where the defendants allegedly intimidated a couple with a firearm to rob their money, documents and work tools.
The woman, a victim of the robbery, who was pregnant, lost her baby due to the stress she experienced.
The Prosecutor’s Office charged both people with qualified theft and manufacture, trafficking and possession of firearms, both aggravated. They did not plead guilty to the charges.
The defendants were arrested by court order in a joint operation between the Prosecutor’s Office, Police and National Army in Álvarez neighborhood in Bucaramanga.
