Given the evidence obtained by the Attorney General’s Office, Mario Andrés Castillo Montañez, alias Tatuajes, accepted through a preliminary agreement his responsibility in at least four homicides that occurred in Cúcuta and Los Patios (Norte de Santander).

A judge in Cúcuta approved the agreement and sentenced him to 25 years in prison for his responsibility in the crimes of homicide, attempted homicide, qualified theft and; manufacture, trafficking, possession of firearms, parts, accessories or ammunition, the first three crimes with aggravating circumstances.

The facts took place on May 16, June 4, and December 17 and 26, 2020 in Cúcuta and Los Patios (Norte de Santander) in which four people died, and two women were injured, including a 3-year-old minor.

Likewise, he participated in a robbery in which two engineers were relieved of a truck valued at 120 million COP and valuable items. The events took place on December 22, 2020, in the rural area of Carmen de Tonchalá, in Cúcuta (Norte de Santander).

Alias ​​Tatuajes, was arrested in January 2021 during a search warrant in Belén neighborhood in Cúcuta that was carried out by the Technical Investigation Corps (CTI), Police and Army.
