The victim had survived an attack in Sonsón, while the alleged attacker was under house arrest.
A judge imposed a prison sentence against Felipe Osorio Álvarez, 24, since he was allegedly responsible for participating in the murder of a barber in Rionegro (Antioquia).
The facts took place on July 11, 2024 in the urban area of said municipality. The victim, 41, was attacked with a firearm by two men who fled the scene on a motorcycle. Minutes later and with the aid of security cameras, Osorio Álvarez was arrested by the National Police in the bathroom of a home located at the municipality of Guarne (Antioquia).
Near the property, some clothing and the motorcycle that was allegedly used to commit the homicide were found. The recovered motorcycle had been reported stolen since April 4, 2024 in the municipality of Itagüí and had false license plates.
The investigators established that the defendant had been arrested in flagrante delicto on June 1, 2024, when he was in possession of ammunition and narcotics, and therefore, he had house arrest.
During the hearings, Osorio Álvarez did not plead guilty to charges brought by a prosecutor belonging to the Sectional Office in Antioquia: aggravated homicide, receiving stolen property, and use of a false public document.
