The Sectional Office in Caldas prosecuted eight men, allegedly involved in aggravated domestic violence. The facts occurred in Manizales, Neira, Anserma and La Dorada (Caldas) where the victims; parents and sentimental partners, other family members were subjected to physical, psychological and verbal abuse.

Among the cases is that of Diego Alexander Romero Callejas and Diego Mauricio Castañeda Ocampo who, apparently, attacked their parents. The first case occurred in La Dorada where the defendant mistreated his father, mother and brother.

Apparently, on July 2, Romero Callejas hit his father and it is believed he threatened his father with death, in addition to causing damages at home.

For his part, Castañeda Ocampo would have threatened his father with murder for asking him to quit drug trafficking.

For similar facts in which the victims were their sentimental partners, the Office of the Attorney General prosecuted Walter Alcides Arboleda Giraldo, José Germán Patiño Patiño, Jaime Andrés Ocampo, Luis Alejandro Ramírez Cardona, Juan Sebastián Franco Ospina and Jairo Andrés Capella Reyes.

Prison sentences were issued by judges against the defendants.
