Within the framework of an investigation related to a homicide that took place in the municipality of Arjona (Bolívar), a prosecutor brought the brothers Jesús David and Eyder Luis Díaz Madero before the justice, as the alleged responsibles for the crime. The defendants, 20 and 18, respectively, would be part of an illegal group known as Los Chombolos which commits crimes in Las Marías neighborhood.

The facts under investigation took place on March 21st near the bullring where, during a festival, the defendants allegedly attacked with a knife a man who was attending the bullfighting festival.

The victim, 21 years old, was helped by the community but died when was taken to the medical center. Apparently, the crime occurred due to disputes between young people of different neighborhoods.

The Díaz Madero brothers were arrested by the National Police in Bogotá on June 30, by virtue of a court order. They did not plead guilty to the charges of aggravated homicide.
