A judge imposed a prison sentence against Jefferson Enrique Guzmán Gamboa, alias Yeye; Julián Remberto Sepúlveda Cortés, alias Aguatero; Juan Miguel Cañón Carrillo, alias Lechonero; Julio Andrés Higuera Sierra and Óscar Osvaldo Agudelo Cárdenas, alias Ratón, allegedly involved in the sale of drugs. Their main buyers would be local distributors from Granada (Meta).
These facts were allegedly happening since 2022 under the command of ‘Yeye’, ringleader of a criminal network that would have obtained illicit substances in Bogotá, Florencia (Caquetá) and Villavicencio (Meta). He also coordinated the transportation of the narcotics to Granada as well as the payments for their commercialization.
The defendants were also allegedly involved in the purchase of firearms that they would use in criminal activities.
The National Police arrested the defendants in two home searches that were carried out in Villa Olympico and Luis Carlos Riveros neighborhoods in Villavicencio. In addition, marijuana, cocaine and elements used to measure the dosage were seized.
The defendants were charged with aggravated criminal conspiracy; trafficking, manufacture or possession of drugs; illicit use of communications networks, possession of firearms and simple kidnapping. They did not plead guilty to the charges.
